Kim DotCom is not a "media conglomerate" but the Mega Upload "Mega Conspiracy" is most certainly backed by a large corporate empire. Try to find out who actually owns Mega Upload: I can't find that information, and it's not just Kim DotCom.

Mega Upload has access to the hottest stars in the media machine's stables, and guys like Kanye and Diddy wouldn't be blatantly promoting file sharing without approval from the actual heads of the entertainment industry.
